An update on the manager of the solar strategy of the ProVen Estate Planning Service
Since launching in 2021, the ProVen Estate Planning Service (PEPS) has brought together the expertise of Armstrong Capital Management (‘Armstrong’) and Beringea, the investment manager, to deliver two investment strategies - solar and lending. Armstrong has managed the trading companies in the solar strategy, while Beringea has overseen the company within the lending strategy.
Following a corporate transaction, Armstrong has transferred its solar asset management operations to ACM (Asset Management) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rivington Energy Limited (‘Rivington Energy’), which will now manage the solar strategy within PEPS. The team responsible remains unchanged and will continue to deliver the same specialised service, now operating under the Rivington Energy brand.
In April 2025, Rivington Energy became majority owned by Federated Hermes Limited, following the completion of a partnership transaction. Federated Hermes is a global leader in active, responsible investment.
Beringea continues to work closely with Rivington Energy, a specialist in UK-based solar projects and other energy ventures, to manage the solar strategy of PEPS. The team brings a strong track record of delivering projects that generate both financial returns and positive environmental outcomes.
PEPS offers a flexible and effective approach to mitigating inheritance tax. The service offers individuals the opportunity to mitigate IHT liabilities, provided shares are held for at least two years at the time of death.
PEPS is designed not only to help individuals to mitigate IHT liabilities but to also offer steady returns throughout their investment as well as a degree of access and optionality, aligning with the needs of those looking for a more controlled and transparent estate planning solution.
